Officers use taser on reported combative man in St. Joseph, who dies after being subdued
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Authorities say a man died in south St. Joseph on Wednesday afternoon after they used a taser on him because he reportedly threatened them with a baseball bat and tried to fist fight officers.
KQ2 reports Drug Strike Force investigators were trying to serve a warrant at a home on MacKenzie Drive. Undersheriff Bill Puett with the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office tells FOX 4 when officers entered the home, the man confronted them with the bat, then dropped it as he ran around the home, and found more officers.
